(XX) stands for the ISO 3166 two-letter country code of the signatory using the DCN for their flight, with the exception of EL being used for Greece.

DIC Option

Bulgaria selected option 1.

Excluded Aerodromes

In case of need the landings of the aircraft (rotary & fixed wings) should be directed to some of the following international airports (i.e. the DIC TA DCN is only valid for flights to these airports):

  • Sofia
  • Plovdiv
  • Varna
  • Bourgas
  • Gorna Oriahovitsa

All other airports in Bulgaria are excluded from the DIC TA DCN.

 

Excluded Areas

The aircraft (rotary & fixed wings) must abide by the rules and procedures stipulated in AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION PUBLICATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA (AIP of the Republic of Bulgaria) and corresponding NOTAMs, and use international air routes.

The flights will be carried out pursuant to the prescribed national procedures, under the direction and control of the airspace control authorities by the Ministry of Transport (IT&C).

 

Air-to-Air Refueling Flights (AAR)

AAR missions in transit phase with no AAR action in progress and/or no joined fighter aircraft present are considered ‘Transportation Missions’ of ‘Military Transport Aircraft’ acc. to Section 3 of the DIC TA and thus subject to the implementation of its provisions (annual DCN published on DIC portal, and/or harmonized request procedure).

BG additionally accepts AAR missions with joined fighters and also refuelling in progress under the DIC TA DCN.

 

Transport Helicopter Flights

Transport helicopter missions are considered ‘Transportation Missions’ of ‘Military Transport Aircraft’ acc. to section 3 of the DIC TA and thus subject to the implementation of its provisions (annual DCN published on DIC portal, and/or harmonized request procedure).

BG additionally accepts combat helicopters under the DIC TA DCN.

 

IATA-non-compliant Dangerous Goods
